THE PRESERVED SCRIPTURUM
All the holy books, whether it is the scriptures of Abraham, Old and New Testaments of Bible, Bhagvad Gita or the Last Book; the Holy Quran, each and every inspired writing and the book enables us to know that all the exigencies of life, all its activities, functions and movements, every living style, all the stages of life, and its ups and downs were made to be inscribed on a surface by the command ‘Be’. It means that the universe and all the versions of its life are present in the form of a record. The place, the surface or the screen upon which the universe is recorded or preserved with all its details is known and called as the "Preserved Scripturum," by the Holy Books [in "our" Shi'i Fiqh {Fiqh e Ja'faria (the Fiqh that is the Sunnah of Allah & His closest creatures which I embraced after following Hanafi Fiqh for almost all of my life due to the fact most of my family still follows this path and I was born in it... until Allah blessed me, no specialty in me but the special sight of Imam Al Asr)} it is the Infallible Imam {the manifesting Imam Al Mobin in whom is the repository of the whole of all Knowledge including Kitab Al Mobeen & all other Holy Books and records (refer to commentary of Surah Yaseen Verse 12; Q 36:12*▼)}].
All that is being manifested on the surface of the earth, in fact, is a display of the film projected from the Preserved Scripturum. Using the scientific terms it could be said that there is a projector with a film in it, when the film is played where ever there is a screen, the pictures of the film are displayed upon the screens. This also tells us that countless earth's, like our own are existing in the universe. The countless planets in the universe also have the human inhabitations and settlements with all the means and sources of life just like the one we have on this earth of ours.
There is a film in the projector and the film cannot be displayed upon a screen unless the light of the projector does not feed it. The Light which causes the film of the Preserved Scripturum to be displayed upon a screen is the light of the Beatific Vision of God. The reflection of the Beatific Vision of God falls directly upon the Latent Subtlety and when some one sees the Latent Subtlety present m him, or when he becomes acquainted with his Latent Subtlety, he observes the Beatific Vision of God and it comes to his knowledge that what was the position of the Realm of Existents before 'Kun' (Be) was commanded and what is the status of the universe after the Kun' (Be) is said.
[36:12*▼]
[Shakir 36:12] Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing.
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 36:12]
On the day of judgement every individual, man or woman, will be brought to account for his or her deeds.
Some of the effects and consequences of the good or evil done by an individual continue to exist in the society, which usually affect the conduct of other people, therefore the primary cause of such evil or good will have to be dealt with (punished or rewarded) in view of the influence it exercised on others, in addition to its own recompense.
Once the people of Bani Salim told the Holy Prophet that their houses were far from the masjid and they would like to build homes near the masjid of the Holy Prophet. The Holy Prophet said: "Be you where you are now, for every step you take toward the masjid is also counted in your account of righteousness."
For imamim mubin see commentary of Baqarah: 2 and 124.
Imam Muhammad bin Ali al Baqir said that when this verse was revealed, Abu Bakr and Umar asked the Holy Prophet: "Is imamum mubin the Tawrat given to Musa?" The answer was: "No". Again they asked: "Is it Injil, given to Isa?" The answer was: "No". Then they asked: "Is it the Holy Quran?" "No", was the answer. Then turning towards Ali ibn abi Talib, the Holy Prophet said: "Verily this is the Imam in whom Allah has deposited the knowledge of everything." Then, addressing the people present there, the Holy Prophet said: "O people, there is no branch of knowledge Allah did not teach me and I have not conveyed it to Ali. Verily Allah has given me wisdom and I have given it to Ali. I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate."
Aqa Mahdi Puya says:
Whatever man does is recorded. The record of the deeds of every individual, and the records pertaining to creation and legislation (which includes knowledge of everything that has been created since the beginning, its progress and the laws governing it) have been made known to "the manifesting Imam", therefore he is the repository of all knowledge. The manifesting Imams have been clearly identified in Ahzab: 33; Waqi-ah: 77 to 79; Ali Imran: 61 and hadith al thaqalayn (see page 6).
